Though this convention focuses
primarily
on 1980's GW game systems & miniatures, all games are welcome. However, we will always give table priority to Oldhammer games.
I ask that all miniatures that hit the table are painted, as well.
To me, the term “Oldhammer” ecompases the years of 1975 - 1992 (with exceptions, of course). Within this timeframe, the golden-era of the 1980’s Citadel & GW design studios emerged, giving us (in my opinion) the finest versions of Warhammer Fantasy Battle, 40K, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, etc... (as well as the greatest miniatures!)
If you'd like to submit an event, please email hank.hmr [at] gmail.com & include your game name, system, desired time/date, # of player slots & if you’ll supply miniatures or not. You are also welcome to play any pick-up games you'd like to during the convention (assuming you can find an open table).
In addition to the officially listed events, we generally set up 2-3 tables for games of Mordheim & a table for miniature trading (the “Oldhammer Swap & Shop”).
3DR Con ticket prices are intentionally kept low & go directly towards the venue rental costs, helping to keep the convention alive in the future.
Lastly, 3D Roleplay Con is organized & put together each year at a grass-roots level. This means that it’s not as rigid & supervised as other gaming conventions. As such, we ask you to be respectful and courteous to one another, always keeping a strong sense of sportsmanship.
